We use a cast iron skillet and it’s perfect for this recipe. I have the Lodge cast iron skillet but you can see all the different brands here.

Cast iron is amazing! You can make so many different recipes and they are great for skillet recipes.

You will not regret using cast iron. We love to use ours and they are very reasonably priced.

Plus, this cookie skillet just looks so cute baked in a cast iron skillet!

The brown sugar and granulated sugar combine for a decadent mixture with chocolate chunks in this chocolate chip skillet recipe.

It is such an easy recipe and the skillet worked great. Add vanilla ice cream on top and you have the best dessert. Sometimes, I also add a little sea salt.

Now, if you are feeling indulgent, add a drizzle of chocolate sauce to the top of the ice cream and cookie. Caramel sauce is good too.

We have been out of ice cream and used whipped cream instead. Either way, it is so delicious. You can’t go wrong with this easy dessert.

You can whip this up for a quick weeknight dessert or serve it for a special occasion. It is tasty enough for any occasion but simple to make!

Everyone always asks for the recipe when I make this and they can’t believe how easy this homemade skillet is to make. I can’t wait for you to try it.

I love being able to make delicious desserts like this without spending a ton of money or time. It is a win all around. 🙂

The ice cream is optional but I highly recommend it. The cold vanilla ice cream melts into the warm cookie skillet and blends with the chocolate for a really decadent dessert.
