What is the best way to freeze soup?

We prefer to freeze soup in individual containers. You can freeze the soup in one large container but it isn’t very convenient if you only want one serving.

The best way is to use small containers that are perfect for individual servings. Sometimes you want soup for lunch but the family wants something else.

It is so handy just being able to grab one portion out of the freezer.

How to freeze soup in individual containers:

Place your soup in individual freezable containers. Make sure you freeze them in individual servings to make it even easier for you.

Allow to cool completely. Then place in the freezer. It is just that simple!

Tips for making soup to freeze:

We love to use the crock pot to make soup. You can toss and go. Just set it and forget it!

Your family can enjoy a great dinner and you can freeze the leftovers.

The slow cooker does all the work for you and keeps your house cool. No need to heat up the kitchen!

If you need a new crockpot, I really love this one. I use mine frequently and it’s a good one!  It has a lid that locks so it’s great for other recipes that might spill. There are several others on sale here.

Another favorite is this programmable crock pot  for when I am am not at home all day. I love coming home to everything ready and waiting!

I also really love my Ninja cooking system. It is pretty awesome because you can brown your ground beef or whatever meat you are cooking in the pot and then let is slow cook all day.

That means one more less pan to cook for most recipes. This has become my new favorite crock pot just because of that one feature!

Another time saving tip is to use Crockpot liners. They make clean up a breeze.

Instead of scrubbing and washing the pot, you can just toss the liner. It is practically no clean up.

If you prefer to freeze in gallon size freezer bags, another handy tip is to use these hands free bag holders that are seriously a life saver.  They keep your bags open so you can just dump your ingredients inside.

You can snag them very inexpensively on Amazon and even though they are not required, I highly recommend them when you make these healthy slow cooker meals.
