How do you lose Belly fat? Are you looking at your foods?
When we think about losing weight, we typically don’t look to our foods to help us. We think of working out and eating less, of course, but we rarely consider that the foods we eat can help us out. Fortunately, there are some delicious foods that can help us in our weight loss journey. The key is to know what each food can do and maximize the effects.
Here are five foods that can help you trim that gut quick:
1. Dark Chocolate
Why not start with something that is absolutely delectable? Dark chocolate has long been considered to be good in small amounts because of the effects it can have on our cholesterol. It also seems to curb our appetites somewhat. Dark chocolate truly is a food that can help you lose weight when eaten in moderation. Skip the milk chocolate and try a bite of dark chocolate instead.
2. Beans of all kinds
The best part about beans is that they are inexpensive. Also consider there are many different varieties to choose from and you will quickly see why they are popular among the weight loss crowd. Beans have tons of fiber and will slow your digestion. You stay full and the rest of the foods don’t seem nearly as tempting. I like to buy dried beans because they are so inexpensive. Then we cook them and freeze them. It is a great money saving tip. Personally, my favorite beans are kidney, black, and great northern beans.
3. Raw Vegetables
If you really want to lose weight, bulk up your intake of raw vegetables. This is a wonderful way to ward off the hungry feeling and to get healthy things in your gut. The foods that power us are the veggies and the fruits where vitamins are concerned, so eat plenty to stay healthy and thin.
4. Nuts (Peanuts, almonds, etc.)
Most nuts are going to be quite filling and delicious, but many people avoid them. The fats in them are the good fats, so nuts are generally good for you in moderation. They certainly can take care of that snack urge that hits you at all hours of the night. Nuts also curb our urge to eat large amounts when eaten before meals. I personally prefer Almonds, because they are the perfect on the go snack.
5. Raw apples
Many people don’t realize that raw apples are far more healthy than prepared or cooked apples. This is because they have the pectin and mass that fills us up quickly and sends a signal to your brain that you have eaten your fair share. Think about it. If you ate a couple of spoonfuls of applesauce one day and a whole raw apple another, which day would you feel more hungry? Most would say the applesauce day. A raw piece of fruit will make you feel much more full.
Losing that belly fat is really about the basics of weight loss. You have to take in less calories than you burn. I have been using my fit bit and that has really helped with showing how much I need to burn in order to continue losing weight. With that said, you should hunt down the foods that make you feel fullest with the less calories.
The five foods mentioned above is a wonderful start, but what others can you think of?
