Rinse the dry beans in a colander and remove any damaged beans or any debris from the package. Then place the beans in a 6 quart crock pot.
Add the remaining ingredients to the crock pot. Stir to combine all the ingredients.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until the beans are tender. Each slow cooker runs differently so adjust the cook time based on your slow cooker. Remove the bay leaves from the crock pot.

Notes
You do not have to soak these beans when cooking them in a crock pot! Refrigerate the leftover beans in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
