Wash the mint leaves and remove any brown or damaged leaves.
Boil 1 cup of water. Add the 1/4 cup mint leaves to the boiling water. Let the mixture sit for at least 15 minutes. Then add ice to the mixture to cool it down.
Strain the mint leaves from the boiling water mixture or pour the water into a large pitcher.
Add the remaining mint leaves to a large pitcher. Then add in the cold water. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving. You can use us a wooden spoon to slightly mash the mint leaves against the sides of the pitcher to release the juices from the them.
This mint water is best served the same day but you can also refrigerate the water for up to 3 days.
Notes
You can also add lemons, limes or sparkling water to change up the flavor of this easy mint water.
