  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine (softened)
  • 3-4 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Combine sugar and softened butter and beat with mixer.
  • Add bananas, milk, sour cream and egg whites. Beat well.
  • Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Add flour mixture to banana mixture and combine until well mixed.
  • Spray a 9" x 5" loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour to an hour and 10 minutes. Bread is done when knife inserted in center comes out clean.
