  • 1 pound Asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 lemon (cut in half)

  • Preheat the grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F).
  • Remove the tough ends of the asparagus by snapping the ends off.
  • Then place the asparagus in a medium size mixing bowl.  Drizzle the olive oil on top and season with the salt, pepper and garlic salt.
  • Then toss the asparagus to make sure that they are evenly coated with the oil and seasonings.
  • Then place the asparagus across the grill grates.  Close the lid and grill for 6-10 flipping them halfway through the cook time until the asparagus are tender and charred slightly.
  • Then remove the asparagus.  Squeeze the fresh lemon juice on top of the asparagus and serve while warm.

*These are best served fresh but you can refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
*You can use approximately ½ tsp of garlic salt instead of the garlic powder and salt in this recipe if you prefer.
