In a large pot or dutch oven brown the ground turkey, breaking it up.
When the ground turkey is browned, add in the onion and cook for about 2 minutes until the onion is soft.
Stir in the black beans, diced tomatoes with green chilies, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chicken broth, seasonings, and sweet potatoes.
Bring the mixture to a boil. Then reduce the heat down to low. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes or until sweet potatoes are soft.
Serve topped with fresh jalapeños and cilantro. Enjoy!
Notes
Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days. You can easily use ground beef or ground chicken instead of ground turkey in this recipe.
