- 2 large chicken breasts cut into pieces
- ½ onion chopped
- 1 cup long grain brown rice do not use any other kind of rice
- 2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 16 oz frozen broccoli chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
In a 6 quart slow cooker combine the rice, chicken, onion, seasoning, sour cream, and chicken broth. Stir to combine
Cover and cook on high for 2.5 hours or until chicken is cooked through and rice has absorbed the liquid.
Stir in the frozen broccoli. Cover and cook for another 30 minutes until broccoli is cooked.
stir in the cheddar cheese right before serving.
