Ingredients

Instructions
Clean, peel, and quarter 3 pounds russet potatoes.
Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover them completely with water.
Bring the water to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 10–15 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork tender.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
Add ½ cup butter, 1 cup milk, ½ teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon pepper to the potatoes.
Use an electric mixer to whip the potatoes until light and fluffy, or use a hand masher to mash them to your preferred consistency.
Serve warm and enjoy!
