In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons salt, 2 teaspoons sugar, 1½ teaspoons paprika, 1 teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon turmeric, ½ teaspoon onion powder, and ½ teaspoon garlic salt.
Preheat a griddle or large cast iron pan over medium-high heat to approximately 400 degrees F.
Place the beef balls onto the hot griddle or pan and press them down with a large spatula or burger press until the patties are very thin and flat.
Season each patty with the prepared seasoning mixture.
Cook the patties for 1–2 minutes until browned, then flip and cook for 1 additional minute.
Continue until all patties are cooked.
Place 4 slices American cheese onto half of the patties and cook for 20–30 seconds until the cheese melts.
Top each cheesy patty with one plain patty to create 4 double burgers.
Place the burgers onto 8 hamburger buns.
Top each burger with sliced white onion, 20 pickle slices divided evenly, and mustard to taste.
Serve warm and enjoy!
