Peel, core, and slice 5 tart apples. Place the apple wedges in a large bowl. Top with the lemon juice and gently toss to coat the apples with the juice.
Melt 4 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Place the apples in the pan in the melted butter. Stir in ¼ cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, ? teaspoon salt, and the juice from ½ lemon.
Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes (stirring occasionally) until the apples are soft and tender.
Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!
