This Crock Pot Pizza Casserole has all the pizza flavors but cooks in this easy slow cooker recipe for an easy weeknight dinner. Pasta, sauce, cheese, and toppings cook into a comforting dish that the entire family will love.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, sausage, and onion until the meat is cooked through, about 8 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more. Drain excess fat.
Transfer the meat mixture to the crock pot. Add pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
Add uncooked pasta and stir to ensure everything is mixed evenly.
Make sure that the pasta is covered in the sauce and liquid and press them down into the sauce if needed.
Layer the pepperoni on top.
Cover and cook on low for 2.5-3 hours or on high for 1.5-2 hours until the pasta is cooked through and tender.
Once cooking is complete, gently stir the casserole to redistribute the ingredients. Stir in 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese and top with the remaining cup.
Cover and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese melts.
Then the meal is ready to serve and enjoy!
