I love making Grilled Apples because they can be served as a side dish or topped with ice cream for a delicious dessert. Prepare all year long for a delicious recipe.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, approximately 350°F.
Core the apples and cut them into ¼- to ½-inch-thick rings.
Stir together the water and lemon juice in a large bowl. Add the apple slices and soak them while the grill preheats to help prevent browning.
Remove the apples from the lemon water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Carefully oil the grill grates to prevent the apples from sticking.
Place the apple slices directly on the grill. Cook for 4–6 minutes, or until lightly browned. Flip and grill for another 4–5 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the butter, honey, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and continue heating in 30-second intervals until the butter is melted and the mixture is combined.
Brush the cinnamon-honey mixture over the apples. Flip and grill for 1–2 minutes.
Brush the other side with the remaining mixture, flip, and grill for another 1–2 minutes.
Remove from the grill and serve warm.
Notes
Soaking the apple slices in the lemon water helps prevent them from browning.Serve the grilled apples as is or topped with ice cream.
