Make this Juicy Ground Chicken Burgers that is seasoned with simple spices and cooks in about 10 minutes on the grill! Add your favorite toppings for a meal everyone will love.
In a large bowl, combine 1 pound ground chicken, ½ cup panko breadcrumbs, 1 lightly beaten large egg, ¼ cup finely chopped onion, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon dried thyme, 1 teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon black pepper.
Mix until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ½-inch thick. Press a slight indentation into the center of each patty to help prevent puffing while cooking.
Preheat a grill over medium-high heat and brush the grill grates with 1 tablespoon olive oil to prevent sticking.
Place the chicken patties on the grill over direct heat and cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F.
Transfer the cooked patties to a plate and let them rest for a few minutes.
Lightly toast the 4 hamburger buns on the grill.
Assemble the burgers by placing a chicken patty on the bottom half of each bun and topping with optional lettuce, sliced tomato, sliced red onion, pickles, mustard, and mayonnaise as desired.
Add the top bun and serve immediately.

Notes
Ground chicken is softer and stickier than beef. Lightly oiling your hands before forming the patties can make the process easier and prevent sticking.Make sure the panko breadcrumbs are finely crushed if they are too coarse. This helps them mix into the chicken mixture better, providing a smoother texture for the patties.Mix the ingredients just until combined. Over mixing can make the patties tough once cooked.
