Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with wax paper and lightly coat it with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar and light corn syrup until combined.
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low-medium and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved. Do not overcook.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and immediately stir in the Rice Krispies cereal and granola until evenly coated.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer using a spatula.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top and gently press them into the warm cereal mixture with the spatula.
Let the bars cool at room temperature for 20–30 minutes, or until set. Cut into 16 bars and serve.
Store leftovers in an airtight container with wax paper between the layers to prevent sticking.
