Instructions
Add 3 pounds ground beef, ¼ cup water, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1 teaspoon black pepper to a crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or on high for 2–3 hours.
Break up the ground beef in the crock pot every 30–60 minutes while cooking.
Continue cooking until the ground beef is fully browned, cooked through, and no longer pink.
Carefully drain off any excess grease and liquid from the crock pot.
Use the browned ground beef in your favorite recipe or refrigerate it in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Notes
I used a 6 quart crock pot for this recipe.
You can freeze the browned ground beef in a freezer bag or container for up to 3 months.
