Place 1 pound ground beef in a large saucepan or skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it is fully browned and no longer pink.
Drain off any excess grease.
Allow the cooked ground beef to cool completely at room temperature.
Transfer the cooled ground beef to a labeled freezer-safe storage bag.
Remove as much air from the bag as possible and seal tightly.
Store in the freezer for 3–6 months.
Notes
To Thaw: Place the ground beef in the refrigerator until defrost. Also, you can place in crock pot from frozen as well. Meat just needs to be reheated through since it’s already cooked!
