Ingredients
1
cup
granulated
white sugar
1
tablespoon
molasses
Instructions
In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 cup granulated white sugar and 1 tablespoon molasses.
Stir and mix for 2–3 minutes, until the molasses is fully incorporated into the sugar and evenly combined.
For dark brown sugar, add an additional 1 tablespoon molasses (2 tablespoons total) and mix again.
Use immediately or store as you would store-bought brown sugar.
Notes
Tip: to prevent your brown sugar from getting too hard, add a large marshmallow to your container. The marshmallow will dry out, not your brown sugar.
