How to Make Turkey Gravy
Learn how to make turkey gravy and skip the store bought gravy. This is super easy and amazing over turkey or mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

Drippings from a Cooked Turkey
or Chicken Broth

Unsalted Butter

All Purpose Flours

Instructions
Strain 2 cups drippings from a cooked turkey or use 2 cups chicken broth through a mesh strainer to remove any solids. Set aside.
Melt ¼ cup unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
Whisk in ¼ cup all-purpose flour and cook for about 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in the 2 cups drippings or broth.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, whisking constantly, for 5–10 minutes until thickened.
Season with ½ tsp salt and ½ tsp pepper.
Serve warm over turkey or your favorite sides. Enjoy!

Notes
The gravy may thicken some as it sits. Warming the gravy back up will help to thin it out and you can also stir in more drippings or broth if needed.
