This Korean Beef Bowls Recipe is a fast and flavorful dinner made with ground beef, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and a sweet-savory sauce served over rice. A delicious 30-minute meal perfect for busy nights!
Brown 2 pounds ground beef in a large skillet over medium high heat with ½ diced onion until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking up the beef as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease from the pan.
Add 1 tablespoon minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together ¾ cup soy sauce, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 2 teaspoons sesame oil, ¼ cup water, ¼ cup brown sugar, ½ teaspoon black pepper, ¼ teaspoon ground ginger, and 2 tablespoons cornstarch until combined.
Stir this mixture into the skillet.
Cook over medium high heat for 7-10 minutes until the beef is coated and all the flavors have combined.
Serve warm as is or over rice topped with 2 sliced green onions and ½ tablespoon sesame seeds. Enjoy!

Notes
This can easily be made with ground turkey or ground chicken instead of the beef.If you are gluten free, you can use coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. If you want more sauce, you can easily double the sauce ingredients to make this Korean beef more saucey. You can easily add in any of your favorite steamed veggies to this meat mixture to add in more fiber and nutrients! I love mixing in steamed broccoli right before serving. If you add in veggies, I do recommend doubling the sauce so you have enough to coat the veggies as well.Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
