Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat.
Heat until the butter is melted and begins to foam.
Crack the eggs directly into the skillet.
Cook for 2–3 minutes, or until the egg whites are mostly set while the yolks are still soft.
Carefully flip the eggs.
Cook for another 2–3 minutes, or until the yolks are completely cooked through.
Transfer the eggs to a plate. Season with salt and black pepper, if desired, and serve immediately.

Keep the heat at medium-low so the eggs cook slowly and evenly without over-browning.For over-hard eggs, make sure the yolks are fully set before removing them from the skillet.
