Bring 4 cups of the 8 cups water to a boil, then remove from heat and steep 3 black tea bags for 5–10 minutes.
Remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup sugar until dissolved.
In a separate saucepan, combine 12 oz raspberries with the remaining 4 cups water and bring to a boil, then simmer for 10–15 minutes.
Strain the raspberry mixture to remove seeds and pulp.
Combine the raspberry liquid with the brewed tea and stir well.
Refrigerate until chilled, then serve over ice.
Notes
I call for 1 cup sugar in my recipe, but add your sugar based on your liking. Not sweet enough add more. Too sweet, try a little less when perfecting your recipe the next time.You can also use frozen raspberries instead of fresh raspberries in this recipe.
