These Slow Cooker Apples cook hands-off into the perfect oatmeal topper, dessert, or holiday side. Tender apple slices cook in simple warm spices that taste delicious and smell like fall!
In at least a 4-quart crock pot, add 6 Granny Smith apples peeled and thinly sliced, ? cup granulated sugar, ? cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, ? teaspoon nutmeg, and 2 tablespoons cornstarch. Gently stir to combine all the ingredients.
Dice 2 tablespoons unsalted butter into small pieces and place them on top of the apples in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours until the apples are tender (stir once during the cooking time).
Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!
