In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown 1 pound ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
Stir in 2 tablespoons taco seasoning, ¼ cup salsa, and ¼ cup water.
Cook uncovered for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is heated through and the flavors are combined. Remove from the heat.
In a small bowl, whisk together 1 cup sour cream, 1 packet ranch seasoning mix, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, and 2 teaspoons hot sauce. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Place 8 small flour tortillas on a baking sheet.
Sprinkle 1½ cups of the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the tortillas.
Bake for 5 minutes, or until the cheese begins to melt.
Add the beef mixture to each hard shell,
Remove the tortillas from the oven and carefully wrap each tortilla around a hard taco shell.
Fill each hard taco shell with the prepared beef mixture.
Top the tacos with the spicy ranch sauce, 2 cups shredded lettuce, and the remaining ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
