This Easter Ham is loaded with sweet and savory flavor and cooks perfect every time. Make this spiral ham for your holiday dinner for an easy and delicious dish.
Preheat the oven to 325°F. Place ham cut-side down in a baking dish just large enough to fit it. Add 1?2 cup apple juice to the bottom of the dish.
In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, mustard, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Brush glaze all over the ham, coating completely.
Pour remaining 1/2 cup apple juice into the bottom of the dish around the ham.
Cover the dish tightly with foil. Bake for about 2 hours, basting with juices every 30 minutes.
Remove foil and broil ham for 5-7 minutes to caramelize glaze.
Remove from the oven and tent with foil for 15 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Basting every 30 minutes ensures even glaze coverage and moisture retention. I highly recommend not skipping this important step!Giving the ham a quick run under the hot broiler at the end gives the glaze a chance to caramelize and get all golden and crispy.Letting rest wrapped in foil before slicing allows juices to redistribute evenly. Don't skip this step either.
