Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers is the best appetizer recipe! They have the perfect crispy texture while staying creamy and cheesy on the inside, with just the right spice level. This easy air fryer recipe skips the deep fryer but keeps all the crunch and delicious flavor.
Cut 6 medium fresh jalapeños in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes using a spoon or small knife.
In a small mixing bowl, stir together 4 ounces softened cream cheese, ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and ¼ teaspoon salt until fully combined.
Spoon the cheese mixture evenly into the center of each jalapeño half.
In another small bowl, stir together ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs and 1 tablespoon melted butter.
Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top of the filled jalapeños.
Arrange the jalapeño poppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 375 degrees F for 6–8 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the jalapeños are tender.
Remove the jalapeño poppers from the air fryer and let them rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes
Make sure to use gloves when handling the jalapeños so that the oils from the jalapeños do not burn your hands. Check your jalapeño poppers after cooking for 6 minutes and then continue to cook in 1 minute intervals until they are browned. These are best served immediately while warm but you can refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
