Step 6 – Place the jalapeño poppers in a single layer in an air fryer basket.

  • Step 7 – Air fry at 375 degrees F for 6-8 minutes until the top of the poppers are browned and the jalapeños are tender.

Recipe Tips

  • Jalapenos – Make sure to use gloves when handling the jalapeños so that the oils from the jalapeños do not burn your hands. I try to get the same size jalapenos so they cook evenly.
  • Cooking Time – Check your jalapeño poppers after cooking for 6 minutes and then continue to cook in 1 minute intervals until they are browned. You may have to work in batches as you want to cook the poppers in a single layer.
  • Rest – After cooking the Jalapeno Poppers allow them to rest for about 5 minutes.
  • Bake – If you prefer you can bake these poppers by placing on a baking sheet that has been lined with foil. Bake in a preheated oven at 425 degrees for about 12-15 minutes.
  • Air Fryer Basket – To prevent the poppers from sticking, you may need to spray olive oil nonstick cooking spray on the bottom of the basket.

Variations Ideas

  • Add Bacon – These Jalapeno Poppers are delicious wrapped in bacon. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping once for crisp bacon slices. You may need to use toothpicks to attach the slice of bacon to the jalapeno.
  • Buffalo-Style – Add a dash of buffalo sauce to the cream cheese mix.
  • Low-Carb / Keto – Omit breadcrumbs and use only cheese and bacon.
