This is a favorite in my family!
Woohoo! I love hearing that Judi! Thank you for sharing and for the positive review of the recipe!
Thank you so much for this recipe. I made it last night and followed the recipe almost to the T as they say. The only thing different I did was season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder and paprika in addition to the salt and pepper called for
My 19 year old grandson came home from work last night just as I had finished making it. He said what are you cooking, and I told him that it was a copycat recipe of Alice Springs Chicken. His brother had been home all evening and although I normally just cook for myself I included an extra piece of chicken just in case he wanted some but he didn’t. His mom had ordered Domino’s for him and his sisters earlier in the evening and he said he didn’t want to waste it so I offered it to my 19 year old grandson and he said that he loves Alice Springs Chicken. He told me that is what he orders every time he goes to Outback. After he tasted it I asked him if it tasted the same and he said that it was very close only but I had made was better.
I’m 61 and I didn’t cook most of my life. I really only started learning how a little over 2 years ago. I love when I make something and my family or friends like it. His compliment felt really good and I have you to think for it. It really was delicious and will be something that I make often from now on.
I looked at quite a few recipes and they were all similar but some called for different cheeses were less bacon. The sauce wasn’t always exactly the same as yours but yours was what I decided to go with and I am so glad that I did. thank you again
Carrie – This means so much and really brightens my day! Thank you for these kind words. I’m thrilled you loved it and so did your family. And wow – to say it was better than Outback! Thank you so much!
