Instructions
Preheat the oven to 450°F.
Wrap 2 slices of bacon around each of the 4 beef filet mignon steaks (approximately 4–6 ounces each) and secure the bacon with toothpicks.
Season both sides of the filets evenly with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon black pepper.
Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Add 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter to the skillet and heat until the butter is melted.
Place the filets in the skillet and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
Transfer the skillet directly to the preheated oven and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until the steaks reach your desired level of doneness.
Remove the skillet from the oven and let the filets rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
Remove the toothpicks, serve, and enjoy!
