If you are looking for a show stopper appetizer, make this Baked Brie in Puff Pastry. It is quick and easy to put together and always a family favorite.
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
If the puff pastry is frozen, thaw it according to the package directions.
Lightly dust a work surface with flour and roll the puff pastry into an approximately 11-inch square.
Place the Brie wheel in the center of the puff pastry. Fold the corners of the pastry over the Brie and toward the center. Gently press the seams together to completely seal the cheese inside.
Place the wrapped Brie seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the puff pastry evenly with the beaten egg.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 10–15 minutes before serving.
Transfer to a serving platter and serve warm with crackers and fruit.
Notes
Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is soft.
