What is Brie Cheese?
Brie cheese is a soft, butter cheese that can be purchased at the grocery store. There are different flavors to choose from, so choose what you prefer.
Ingredients:
- Sheet of Puff Pastry Dough
- Flour (for rolling)
- Wheel of Brie (8-12 oz)
- Large Egg, beaten

- Jam – When serving you can add a jam topping or honey. It taste amazing and adds a sweet and savory flavor. We have topped with apricot jam, raspberry jam, pepper jelly or fig jam. You can even top with cranberry sauce.
How to Make Baked Brie in Puff Pastry:
Step 1 – Dust a work surface with the flour and roll out the puff pastry into a 11 inch square.
Step 2 – Place the brie in the center of the puff pastry. Fold the corners to the center of the brie forming a neat package. Use your hands to seal the puff pastry around the brie.
Step 3 – Place the pastry covered brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the pastry all over with the beaten egg with a pastry brush.
Step 4 – Bake for 35-40 minutes until the pastry is golden brown in a preheated oven. Let the brie sit for 10-15 minutes then place on a serving platter with a sharp knife.
Brie Baked in Puff Pastry Recipe Tips:
- Puff Pastry – Puff pastry can be found in the freeze section. It will need to be thawed before using. Roll the pastry out on a floured surface.
- Covering the Brie – Place the brie in center of the pastry sheet. Then wrap the brie with edges until completely covered.
- Cover with Egg – For a crispy texture cover the pastry in egg wash.
