Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, Italian sausage, onion, and garlic until the meat is browned and fully cooked.
Drain off any excess grease, then transfer the meat mixture to the slow cooker.
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, bay leaves, Italian seasoning, sugar, salt, pepper, and beef broth. Stir to combine.
Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.
Remove and discard the bay leaves.
Serve the sauce warm over your favorite pasta.
