Big Mac Tater Tot Casserole is kid friendly and loaded with flavor. This cheesy burger casserole is made with simple ingredients and the perfect weeknight meal.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess grease.
Stir in the Thousand Island dressing (or Big Mac sauce), diced pickles or dill relish, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and American cheese. Cook until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
Spread the beef mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the beef mixture.
Bake uncovered for 45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
Remove from the oven and top with the shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes.
Drizzle with additional Big Mac sauce or Thousand Island dressing, if desired, and serve immediately.
