Bolognese Sauce Recipe is a delicious and easy to make meat sauce that is delicious topped on any pasta. Simple ingredients makes this stovetop recipe a family favorite.
Brown 2 pounds ground beef and 1 finely diced onion in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat until the beef is no longer pink, crumbling the beef as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease.
Stir in 3 cans crushed tomatoes (14.5 ounces each), 1 can tomato paste (12 ounces), 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning, 2 teaspoons minced garlic, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, 1 bay leaf, 1 cup red wine, and 2 cups chicken broth.
Bring the mixture to a low boil.
Reduce the heat to a low simmer. Cook for 1.5-2 hours to allow the flavors to mend and for the sauce to thicken.
Remove from the heat. Serve over your favorite type of pasta and enjoy!
