Easy Chicken Penne Pasta Recipe is a one pot skillet meal perfect for dinner. Everyone will love this tasty chicken paired with a creamy sauce over pasta.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
Add the diced chicken the pan in a single layer. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
Let the chicken cooking in the pan without moving it for 4-5 minutes until browned.
Flip the chicken and cook the other side for 3-4 minutes until browned and chicken is cooked through.
Add in the butter and minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the butter is melted and you can start to smell the garlic.
Turn the heat to low, stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, butter and the parmesan cheese.
Turn the heat back up to medium heat. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is heated through.
Stir in the cooked pasta and let it sit for 5 minutes (the sauce will thicken as it sits).
Serve warm and enjoy!

Recipe Tips
Pasta - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions.
Chicken - Cut the chicken up in bite size pieces. Make sure they are about the same size so they cook evenly.
Variations Ideas
Change Meat - Try shrimp instead of chicken. You can also make this dish with chicken thighs
Vegetables - Add in peas or broccoli to the skillet. We have even added in cherry tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, and grape tomatoes. Another delicious option is spinach, mushrooms, asparagus or whatever you prefer.
Seasoning - Cajun seasoning or Old Bay would be delicious mixed into the sauce. Add in 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes for a hint of spice.
Pasta - Feel free to use different types of pasta. You can make this pasta dish with whole wheat pasta, gluten-free pasta, rigatoni or farfalle.
