Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
Add the milk, beaten egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined. The batter will be slightly lumpy.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips. Let the batter rest for about 5 minutes.
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly coat with nonstick cooking spray.
Pour the batter onto the hot skillet and gently spread it into a round shape.
Cook until bubbles form and begin to pop on the surface and the bottom is golden brown.
Flip and cook the other side until golden brown and cooked through.
Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.
Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
