Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a large bowl, whisk together 3 lightly beaten eggs, 1 cup corn syrup, and ½ cup granulated sugar until well combined.
Stir in ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Fold in 1 ½ cups pecan halves.
Pour the mixture into a 9-inch unbaked pastry shell.
Bake for about 50 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Allow the pie to cool for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.
Notes
I strongly recommend a glass baking dish you can see when the crust on the sides is browning, which signals that the pie is finished.
