bananas ripe – if you have them in the freezer
just allow to thaw

For the filling:

ounces
cream cheese
at room temperature

large egg

sugar

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spray a 5×9-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
Peel and mash 3–4 ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl.
Stir in ? cup melted butter, 1 large egg, ¾ cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp baking soda, and ¼ tsp salt until well combined.
Add 1½ cups all-purpose flour and stir just until incorporated.
In a separate bowl, beat together 8 oz cream cheese, 1 large egg, ¼ cup sugar, and 2 Tbsp flour until smooth.
Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Spoon half of the cream cheese mixture over the batter in small dollops.
Add the remaining banana bread batter on top.
Spoon the remaining cream cheese mixture over the top in dollops.
Use a butter knife to gently swirl the cream cheese filling through the batter.
Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the bread comes out clean.
Allow the bread to cool before slicing and serving.
