Adding in Broccoli - Add in the broccoli towards the end of cooking time as it doesn't take as long to cook as the chicken. This will also prevent it from being soggy.
Variations Ideas
Change Chicken - We used chicken breast in this recipe but you can also use boneless skinless chicken thighs or chicken tenders
Seasoning - Feel free to change the seasoning to what you prefer. I usually start with about 1/4 teaspoon and then add more if needed. Here are some delicious additions - black pepper, kosher salt, or cayenne pepper.
Sauce - Substitute the brown sugar for honey or maple syrup.
