In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound lean ground beef, 1 beaten large egg, ? cup plain breadcrumbs, ? cup grated Parmesan cheese, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley. Mix gently with your hands or a wooden spoon until just combined. Do not overmix.
Take approximately 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture. Roll it into a ball and place one ½-inch cube of the 6 ounces mozzarella cheese in the center of the meat.
Continue this process until all the meatballs are formed.
In a 6-quart slow cooker, combine 28 ounces crushed tomatoes, 2 teaspoons onion powder, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning, 2 teaspoons granulated sugar, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and ½ cup beef broth. Stir until well combined.
Gently place the stuffed meatballs into the sauce in a single layer.
Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4-6 hours.
Then the meatballs are ready to serve and enjoy!
