Pour the drained peaches into the bottom of a 6 quart crock pot.
Sprinkle the cake mix evenly on top of the peaches in the crock pot.
Dice the butter into small pieces (I diced mine into 24 pieces).
Scatter the diced butter evenly on top of the cake mix in the crock pot.
Place a clean kitchen town over the crock pot and put the lid on the crock pot on top.
Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours until the top of the cobbler is slightly golden brown.

Notes
It’s important to drain the peaches or the cobbler will be mushy. The kitchen towel soaks up the excess liquid from the cobbler so that the condensation from the crock pot does not drip back into the cobbler. If the cobbler is not browning, remove the lid from the crock pot and cook on high for 10-20 minutes and it should start to brown slightly.
