Turn inexpensive steak into tender Crockpot swiss steak. This slow cooker meal tastes like you spent all day in the kitchen but took minutes to prepare.
In a shallow bowl, combine ½ cup flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon black pepper. Dredge 2.5 lbs round steaks in the flour mixture until coated.
Heat 3 Tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the coated steaks on both sides, then transfer them to the crockpot.
Add 1 Tbsp minced garlic, ½ cup beef broth, 28 oz petite diced tomatoes, and 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce to the crockpot. Top with 1 diced onion cut into large chunks and 1 green bell pepper diced into large chunks.
