Ingredients
For the Brownies:
½
cup
salted butter
softened at room temperature

cup
sugar
Zest of 1/2 a Lemon

large eggs

Fresh Lemon Juice

For the Glaze:

Powdered Sugar

Fresh Lemon Juice
Zest of 1/2 a Lemon
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray an 8x8-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, sugar, and lemon zest with a hand mixer until light and creamy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in the fresh lemon juice.
Add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir just until combined. Do not over mix.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Then slice, serve and enjoy!
Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.
Pour the glaze evenly over the cooled brownies and spread it into an even layer.
Allow the glaze to set for 15-20 minutes before slicing into 9 squares and serving.
