2cansgluten free cream of mushroom soup(10 ounces each)
1cupmilk
2cupsCheddar CheeseShredded
½tspSalt
½tspPepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown 2 lbs ground beef in a skillet, drain and set aside.
Peel and slice 5 small potatoes and set aside.
In a bowl, combine 2 cans (10 oz each) cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup milk, ½ tsp salt, and ½ tsp pepper.
Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non stick spray.
Layer half of the sliced potatoes, half of the ground beef, half of the soup mixture, and 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese in the baking dish. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef, soup mixture, and finish with the remaining 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
Remove the foil from the pan and bake another 30 minutes until potatoes are fork tender.
Allow it to sit for 10 minutes at room temperature for the sauce to thicken. Then cut and serve.
Notes
I love using 2 lbs of ground beef to make this a delicious and hearty casserole. However, you can easily reduce the amount to 1 lb or use half beef and half ground turkey to save money when making this casserole recipe.
