spinach
(packed into the cups - smash as much as you can in there)

ice cold water

tablespoon
ground flax seed

green apple peeled and cored and cut into chunks

Instructions
Add 1 cup ice-cold water and 2 packed cups spinach to a blender. If using, add 1 tablespoon ground flax seed.
Blend until completely smooth. For an extra smooth texture, blend a second time.
Add 1 peeled, cored, and chopped green apple, 1 ripe banana, and 1 cup ice (if using).
Serve immediately.
Notes
This recipe delivers the sweetness of apples, and the banana is a must because it helps sweeten it and helps add a bit of creaminess to it.
