This Hibachi Chicken recipe is a quick and flavorful dinner you can make right at home. Tender chicken cooks in a hot skillet with garlic, butter, and simple seasonings to create that classic hibachi-style flavor.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon pepper, and ½ teaspoon salt.
Add 1 pound chicken breasts, cut into approximately 1 inch pieces, and let it marinate for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
Preheat a large skillet, griddle or cast iron pan over medium high heat.
Add 1 tablespoon avocado oil to the pan.
Once the oil is heated through, add 3 cloves minced garlic and the marinated chicken to the pan.
Let the chicken cook on both sides on high heat for 2-3 minutes until browned on both sides.
Add 2 tablespoons butter and continue to cook, tossing the chicken in the melted butter, until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
Remove the chicken from the pan. Serve with your favorite hibachi sides and enjoy!

Notes
You can use vegetable, canola or peanut oil instead of the avocado oil if you prefer. When browning the chicken, resist the temptation to frequently toss the chicken while it’s browning.Let the chicken sit for a few minutes to get good and browned before turning and then brown the other side as well. I love serving this over rice and with hibachi vegetables. Coconut aminos can be used instead of Soy Sauce in this recipe for a gluten free option.
