Whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, flour, salt and baking powder. Store in a jar or airtight container or bag until ready to use.
For the Brownies:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8X8 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
Add the brownie mix to a large mixing bowl.
Stir in the eggs, melted butter and vanilla extract until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean.
Let the brownies cool and then they are ready to slice, serve and enjoy!

These are the instructions to make 1 brownie mix that is similar to a store bought brownie mix. You can easily make more than 1 at a time but I recommend storing in separate containers so that they are ready to use when making brownies. This mix is great to give as a gift as well.Store the brownie mix ingredients in a jar and include a label with the ingredients needed to prepare the brownies and the instructions on how to make the brownies. I generally use regular cocoa powder in this recipe but dutch process cocoa mix can be used as well. It will create brownies that are darker and richer.
