Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil to the pan.
Season 4 salmon fillets with ½ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon black pepper.
Place the salmon fillets in the skillet and drizzle approximately 1 tablespoon honey over each fillet (4 tablespoons total). Cook for 3 minutes until a golden brown crust forms.
Flip and cook another 2 to 3 minutes until done and fish is flakey. Remove from heat.
Meanwhile, melt 6 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, whisking constantly, until the butter turns golden brown, about 3 minutes.
Stir in 1 tablespoon minced garlic, the remaining 1 tablespoon honey, and the juice from 1 lime.
Remove the salmon from the heat and drizzle the honey butter sauce over the cooked salmon.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
