In a medium size mixing bowl, combine 2 cups flour, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon baking powder. Slowly stir in 1 cup warm water until a dough forms (you may not need all the water).
Let the dough sit for 5 minutes.
Roll the dough out slightly and cut it into 6 pieces.
Then roll out each piece into a approximately 7 inch wide circles that are 1/4-1/8 inch thick.
Heat about 3 inches of oil in a deep pot to 350–375°F.
Fry each dough circle in the oil until golden brown and slightly puffed (2–3 minutes). Do not overcrowd the pan.
Flip and cook the other side until golden brown (2–3 minutes).
Remove and place on a plate lined with paper towels.
Repeat until all dough is fried, then serve and enjoy.
